Honey | Abuja

📍1st Floor, Chocolate Mall, Atakampe St, Wuse 2

We were at Honey yesterday and it was liiitttyyyy! Such a beautiful experience.

AMBIENCE:
First, the ambience is everything!
Indoor Dining Space:

Entering the main dining space was interesting cause, you come in from a lobby that’s painted white and bland looking, but once you do step inside, it’s a different experience.

Soft colors, warm, quiet and visually pleasing interior decoration. In terms of the interior decor, I loved the choices of materials chosen. Tables were set with beautiful fine dining tableware also. Another thing I loved was the glass mural in the main area.

Outdoor Dining Space:

I’m a sucker for rooftop restaurants, and I loved this one! The view isn’t the best, but it’s still something. I’m sure it’ll look better at night with all the lights emitting from the street lights and headlights of cars. I’m excited to go during the nighttime.

SERVICE:
The staff were very nice, we were welcomed in by a lady at the front desk and were taken to a table. Drinks were brought quickly and food came not long after, steaming hot (we thankGod).

SIDENOTE:

I think HONEY would be great for late night drinks with friends/colleagues and for lunch/dinner dates. I feel the prices are fair and match up to the quality of the food. Still questioning why their Pad Thai is 5k though. I guess I’d have to order and see for myself next time. Also, I love their menu, just one page and I believe it provides a variety of options still.

REVIEW OF FOOD:

Kung Pao Chicken Sauce – N3300
This was a nice dish and well seasoned, although the chicken was not tender at all. I wish it had been a bit more soft and it’d have been perfect.

Chicken Spring Rolls – N1750
This tasted so great! The pastry crispy and wasn’t too thick, and the filling was super tasty!

Honey Garlic Chicken Wings – N2750
Highly recommended! Mildly sweet and tender!

Shrimp Fried Rice – N2200
Enough for two people to share, and it was good.

Drinks:

Abuja has been on a roll by providing me with great drinks lately!

Lollypop – N1650
(Apple Juice, Strawberry syrup, Coconut syrup and cream).
Soon as I saw strawberry and coconut in the description, I was sold! This tasted absolutely divine. Felt like I was sipping cotton candy!
