📍269, Union Street, Aberdeen, AB11 6BR
So … is one of those places you always see on your way home and take mental notes about visiting someday! Well my ‘someday’ finally came, and after my classes at uni, I decided to stop buy for a quick snack.
AMBIENCE:
It was always the interior decor that attracted me to So.. . There are these glass walls that showcase the beautiful furniture laid out inside the space.
It was quite warm and quiet, loved the dark paint colours and drop lights most. Another thing I found nice was the view. I sat close to the glazing so I could see some of union street and the busyness of it.
Their menu is presented on display panels above the counter. You decide on your meal, pay, and pick a seat. Your meal is then brought to you.
FOOD:
I liked that they had a good variety of options available. From sweet, to savoury and vegan meals.
Smith & Western – £5.80
Drinks:
Cappuccino – £2.70
BILLING:
Number of People: 1
Total Bill: £8.50
SALMAH’S SIDENOTE:
Great place to have a quiet read while having a cup of coffee. Plus how could you pass up such an interesting view.
REVIEW OF FOOD:
Smith & Western – £5.80
(Braised pulled beef, ranch sauce, Texan spiced onions, cheese sauce and grated mozzarella on Philly baked baguette)
Not the best presentation, but it still banged! The baguette itself and the beef’s texture were spot on. Really liked this. Can’t wait to try something sweet next.
