Post exam lunch the other day at Ask Italian. All I wanted after my History paper was good food, and my very, (emphasis on very) comfortable bed
Originally wanted sushi, but for some reason all the Japanese restaurants are closed on Mondays, so I settled for Italian instead.
AMBIENCE:
I loved how simple the restaurant was. Minimal furniture with slight hints of green around.
I particularly loved the artwork on the wall that’s on the right when you walk in.
FOOD:
Calamari – £6.95
(crispy golden-fried squid served with garlic mayonnaise)
Can never go wrong with Italian!! I had some calamari rings as a starter, hadn’t had them in a really long time and they banged from all sides. Didn’t really like the mayo sauce though, thought it was under seasoned.
Linguine Arrabiata con Pollo – £10.95
(chicken breast in a fiery rich tomato and basil sauce)
However, the pasta was everything and more, tomato based pasta can be so goooood if done right!
