Plates and Palettes had taken so much of my time that I hadn’t had time to visit restaurants as much. However, I managed to squeeze out some time to celebrate a friend’s birthday at Aldos Restaurant the other day which was a lot of fun.
AMBIENCE:
The decor of this rooftop restaurant was quite basic and subtle, which I appreciated because I believe it allowed people see the beauty surrounding the rooftop , which is an almost 360 view of the Jabi area, without any decorative pieces distracting you.
I didn’t really know what to expect with the food cause I hadn’t checked the menu prior to going. But upon getting there, I liked the range the menu presented, which was the usual continental menu options.
Fettuccine Alfredo – N3950
Definitely adding this to my top favourite spots to have pasta. Sauce was rich, chicken was well seasoned and texture was spot on, wasn’t rubbery or chewy.
Buffalo Chicken Wings 6pcs – N2100
These literally fell off the bone, however, there was a sharp vinegar-y taste that didn’t particularly let me enjoy it as much as I wanted to.
Cheese Garlic Bread Roll (4pcs) – N1950
I would gladly order 10 of these and finish them in one seating. I’ve never had a garlic bread ‘roll’ before so it was interesting to see. Definitely for people who order extra cheese for everything.
Beef Escalope- N4750
Soon as I saw this I said ‘yikes’ cause the plate just screamed chaos. I just thought the presentation could’ve been way better! Beef wasn’t tender and the batter just kept crumbling.
Mozzarella Sticks (4pcs)- N1950

Chocolate Fondant with Ice Cream
Well this was presented just as is in the image which was quite disappointing. Nonetheless the fondant tasted good, ice cream, not so much.
SERVICE:
Service was decent. We didn’t have to constantly ask for stuff and food was presented quite quickly. We were glad we didn’t have to wait long.
